This first Glee book is about what happened before the Glee kids got together and started to sing. I liked the book since it gave me a little bit more information about how life for the Glee kids was before they got together but overall, nothing really major happened. There wasn’t anything special that happened in this book but I still enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to the next one, and I hope that that book has something more special to happen then just everyday life of the Glee kids.

Percy Jackson And The Lightning Thief

Look, I didn’t want to be a half-blood. I never asked to be the son of a Greek God. I was just a normal kid, going to school, playing basketball, skateboarding. The usual. Until, I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher. That’s when things started really going wrong. Now I spend my time fighting with swords, battling monsters with my friends, and generally trying to stay alive. This is the one where Zeus, God of the Sky, thinks I’ve stolen his lightning bolt – and making Zeus angry is a very bad idea. Can Percy find the lightning bolt before a fully-fledged war of the Gods erupts?

So I bought this book after I watched the movie and there are (of course) some differences. The biggest one is that Percy is a lot younger then he was in the movie and though I had to get used to it in the beginning I didn’t really mind it. There are a lot more background details in the book then in the movie and the writing style was pleasant, I finished the book in a few days. It has a lot of things a good fantasy book needs: action, powers, mythical creatures, gods and goddesses and some troublesome teenagers who won’t listen to adults. I definitively want to read the second book since you can sense through the whole story there is a lot more of this good stuff to come.

Great second book!
After the first book, I was dying to read the next. And it didn’t let me down, actually it was even better! I got to learn a lot more about the shadows Luce sees, about her past, about angels and a few new great characters. I really like it that you know some characters already and that you get to know them even better and understand their world even more. And after the last page of this book, I really want to read Passion as soon as possible!

Great first book!
I absolutely adore this book, it has a great story and awesome characters. It took a while for Luce to find everything out, though I knew that most of the characters weren’t human. Yet it still surprised me on what team some characters were. The ending was also surprising and it left me a bit sad. Yet it’s still a great book for everyone who loves an epic impossible love story. I can’t wait for the next book!
